  E.B.White这本集子《New York Sketches》蛮短小的，读起来不用正襟危坐，不用眉头紧锁，它甚至不适合没有在纽约生活过的人——我怀疑里面真正的会心一笑之处和痛点只有在纽约生活过一阵才有体会。整本的文章成文于30到60年代不等，但有些观察穿越时空，放之未来而皆准。
